DownByTheRiver9 Bought this on the recommendation of one of my favourite musicians - Scott Wainwright. He was not wrong, it is an excellent album. Hard to pick a favourite track, its a very strong album that deserves to be listened to as such. Favorite track: What Will It Be Today?.

scottwainwright This is Rory's crowning moment and for now, his masterpiece. The usual Beatlesque approach to melodies and harmonies are used to strong effect, though often reaching beyond the Fab Fours group efforts and channelling Ringo Starr's 'Sentimental Journey'. Mix in a nod to Mungo Jerry, some futurist Stock Aitken and Waterman vibes on 'Last Song' and Skiffle and World Music influences 'In' and 'Oosh Krama' to round up a very interesting and very English roadtrip. Vocal work is amazing too. Favorite track: Oosh Krama.

Last Song 03:59
It's all come to a halt I'm irrelevant and past my prime What seemed a sunny future Now seems to be lost in time Days all feel the same Repeating every last mistake There's only so much that A broken bleeding heart can take I've shown so many times before That this will be the last song, that I'll write There won't be any more I've run all out of words This is the last song, that I will write There comes no comfort knowing That I can never go back there My illnesses are showing The scars of my past laid bare I feel so close to cracking I'll never do the right thing first There's always something lacking And nothing's gonna lift this curse
